Dear future self,

You need to stop settling for less because you deserve the best that life has to offer. Stop dreaming and start living the dream. Stop worrying about the future because you aren’t there yet, focus on today and today only as the rest will follow. Don’t let others shape who you are since you have full control over what and how you live your life. Ignore what people may think and throw away the idea that people judge, either way you are going to be judged no matter what you do. Remember about win-win situations and don’t let people step all over you just cause you feel like you are not worth anything. Watch the past go by and move forward instead of backwards because it isn’t helping you at all. Take negative circumstances as an opportunity for more positive things to happen. Do not die on me and let your soul dwindle on a thin thread of string, instead strengthen it with another piece. Remember what you are here for and never let procrastination or laziness take the best out of your fullest potential. Be kind to others who are kind to you but know your limits to how much of yourself you give. Dream bigger knowing that you will be able to overcome any obstacle that may come your way and want less cause you already have everything that you desire to begin with. Most of all let go of your insecurities, let go of everything that is holding you back, let go of fear. For those who fear to pursue their dreams are living in fear, don’t be like them, go get it.

              Sincerely, present me.

Day 15: Self-confidence/self-hatred

There is a fine line that is drawn between having self-confidence and ignorance. Be confident, not proud. Share more and do not show to impress but to fulfill your goals in life. I’ve always been a person with low confidence but for the past few months starting from my experience in first year of University to now, everything started to turn around because I put myself out there and tried to act confident even though I really wasn’t. Having empathy for others really helps and just not caring what other people may think of you. People actually care more about themselves so stop worrying what other people may think, they are too busy caring about themselves and how foolish they may come off as.

As cliche as it may sound, just be yourself and stop self-doubting. People who actually like the ‘real’ you are the ones worth keeping, don’t try to impress the others by being somebody else because you are drawing in the wrong sort of people into your life. True friends know you for YOU.
This is your life, this is your time. Live and be who you set yourself up to be and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise!

I work hard when I have to but why can’t I work hard all the time?
When I start to feel lazy and drift off away from getting productive things done I think about my father. He gets up at 7:00 am and works till 9:00 pm every single day, the only days he gets off work is when the mall closes for holidays. He works so damn hard but what I am doing..on Tumblr and doing other crap wasting my life away on useless things that won’t help me in the future. I’m sick of living spoiled and taking things for granted. I’ve always have but my laziness and procrastination manages to win the fight each and every time. It’s an addiction.

I’ve said this so many times already but I’ll say it again. “Want too many things, need to want less.”

So the next time you feel like not giving a shit about anything and fooling around. Just think about what your parents are doing for you to live a happy and fulfilling life. If you don’t act now, things in the future aren’t going to be fun.

It’s okay to suffer a little now and live a great life later.
